Freyja, Lady, Vanadis: An Introduction to the Goddess examines Freyja, perhaps the best-known goddess of Norse mythology. Using original source material, extant writings, and scholarship the author builds an image of the goddess as she may have appeared to her followers in pre-Christian Northern Europe. Patricia Lafayllve then uses the knowledge she has compiled to speculate on aspects of modern worship of this complex deity. Patricia Lafayllve currently serves as Steerswoman for The Troth, an international non-profit religious organization dedicated to Asatru. She is the author of “Freyja, Lady, Vanadis: An Introduction to the Goddess,” and recently attained her Masters of Arts degree in English. Patricia is a certified Troth Godwoman and a proud member of Two Ravens Kindred and Bjornsal, a fellowship of seidhr practitioners. She has studied the Elder Futhark for over twenty years, been a shamanic and seidhr practitioner for fifteen years, and is the creator and current Provost for The Troth’s Lore Program. She lives in New Haven, Connecticut. For more information contact us at (602) 277 – 0538 or e-mail thenorthernwinds@yahoo.com
